Japanese restaurant · Algés, Lisbon
NAMI 38
A sushi counter by the Tagus, with twelve seats and a dining room facing the water. The website had to do two things at once: convey a level of cooking that justifies the price, and let people book in under a minute, at any hour.

Demonstration project
Summary
Bilingual website, online bookings and a management dashboard.
- Goal
- Get people who discover the restaurant to book directly, with no middlemen.
- Expected result
- More direct bookings, no commission per table, and fewer calls during service.
- Services
- Strategy · Art direction · Design · Development · Online bookings · Management dashboard · PT · EN
This is a demonstration project: the business is fictional, but the website is real and it works. You can test the whole journey, including the management area, without leaving any personal data.
The case
From problem to result.
-
01 — Problem
Restaurants with this positioning tend to live off two sources they do not control: the phone, which nobody can answer in the middle of service, and booking platforms that charge per table and keep the relationship with the guest. The menu, when it is online at all, is a PDF that is hard to read on a phone, and many people give up.
-
02 — Strategy
Put the atmosphere and the concept on the first screen, explain the three ways to eat there (omakase, tasting menu and à la carte) and take people, without detours, to the booking request. Everything in Portuguese and English, because part of the Algés clientele is international.
-
03 — Solution
A dark, editorial website with product photography, a menu that reads well on a phone and a guided booking: date, party size, area (counter, dining room or terrace) and available times. Groups of seven or more are sent to the phone. On the other side, a dashboard where the team sees, confirms and logs manual bookings.
-
04 — Result
Direct booking available 24 hours a day, with no commission and with the details the floor team needs. The team is no longer interrupted to take bookings, and the restaurant builds its own guest list.
Screens
Designed for mobile first.
Most visits arrive on a phone. The whole journey was designed there first.

What we would measure for a real business
As a demonstration, there are no client results to show, and we do not invent numbers. For a real business, this is what we track from day one:
- Direct bookings per week
- Calls received during service
- Share of bookings in English
- Bookings coming from the Google Business Profile
Test it before you decide
Open NAMI 38 and go through the whole journey.
